Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications on time and report any side effects to the nursing team.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious, client-appropriate meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities with clients.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and tidying living spaces.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs regarding the client's health and well-being.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; certification as a CNA or HHA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, hospice, or geriatric care is preferred.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid California driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Background: Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
