Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost respect and privacy.
- Medication Management: Promptly administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate daily logs of client health status.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and accompany clients on walks or appointments to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Provide reliable transportation to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond calmly to emergencies and follow established care plans to ensure client safety.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, or in a similar caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Current Kansas CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle are required.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Background: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
