Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Support: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications on time and report any missed doses or side effects.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and vacuuming to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social events.
- Monitoring: Observe client behavior and report any changes in health or mood to the Case Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- License: Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Certification: CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not mandatory; we offer training for the right candidates.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving is a plus, but a strong desire to help others is essential.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
