Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care coordinator
- Light housekeeping duties (laundry, tidying living spaces)
- Transport clients to appointments and social outings
- Administer medications according to training protocols
- Maintain detailed care records and communication logs
Qualifications
- No prior experience required - we provide paid training!
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (provided during training)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and genuine compassion for seniors
- Physical ability to assist with mobility (lifting up to 50 lbs)
