Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and progress notes regarding client status and care provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- CNA/PCA Certification: Preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Valid Driverβs License: Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and assist clients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the patience to work with diverse personalities.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
