Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping centers, or recreational activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or PCA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or elderly care preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical assistance.
- Certifications: Valid California Driver's License and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
