Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any changes in health to the nursing staff.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation and social activities to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or runs to the grocery store.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: or GED equivalent required.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- Certifications: Current state certification as a CNA or HHA is a plus.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help others and improve their quality of life.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
