Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes, accidents, or symptoms to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
- Manage medication reminders and assist with light errands.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is preferred but not always required for compassionate caregivers.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
