Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer injections, medications, and perform phlebotomy
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory medical supplies
- Conduct basic diagnostic tests and EKGs
- Coordinate care between specialists and primary physicians
Qualifications
- Active California Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
