Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Manage patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collect and process laboratory specimens with strict adherence to protocols
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks efficiently
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- Minimum 1 year experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent with medical assisting training
