Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications under supervision and maintain accurate medication records
- Create a positive patient environment through effective communication and empathy
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and facility infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of acute care or long-term care experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
