Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain patient vitals, prepare patients for examinations, and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake, update medical records accurately, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and capillary draws with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Lab Support: Process and prepare lab specimens for analysis in accordance with CLIA regulations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate test results and treatment plans to patients and providers.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict hygiene standards and sterilization procedures in the examination rooms.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification from the AAMA or AMT.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
