Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Assist with mobility issues, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Document patient care services, changes in patient conditions, and observations accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the state of New York.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
