Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient conditions.
- Administer medications as directed by the RN or LPN and document accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in home care or long-term care preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
