Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Assist with feeding and nutrition planning as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current, active State of Arizona CNA Certification and in good standing.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from various work locations within Tucson.
