Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Arizona.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
