Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide direct care to patients in various healthcare settings. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for those under your care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic wound care and change dressings as directed by the nursing staff.
- Communicate patient updates, symptoms, and concerns to the RNs and physicians promptly.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility using proper techniques and mechanical lifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized patient environment.
- Support patients with meal preparation and dietary requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
