Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
