Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, accurately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas (current and active).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to perform duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.
