The Role:
As a CNA at Nashville Health Partners, you will be the vital link between our medical staff and our patients. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and supported.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Tennessee CNA license required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in support of patient care.
