Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds and wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, physical condition, or complaints to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nursing staff and document administration.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pennsylvania CNA Certification (or active LPN/RN license).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
