Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other medical equipment.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in patient condition in electronic health records.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Illinois.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and CPR.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a compassionate demeanor.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
