Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA Certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
- Clean background check and drug screening required.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the nursing field.
