Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning patients safely and comfortably.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, safe, and well-stocked.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients as needed.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
