Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning patients safely to prevent injury.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary plans and patient preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
