Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments using a wheelchair or stretcher.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California CNA license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely and adhere to body mechanics protocols.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
