Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic bedside care and support to patients in a nursing home or assisted living setting.
- Turn, reposition, and move immobile patients to prevent bedsores.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient conditions and changes in status.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Ohio CNA license and registration.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
