Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in accordance with facility standards.
- Safety & Hygiene: Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs as needed.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
