Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care as directed by nursing staff, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate patient needs and concerns to RNs and LPNs immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and supervised.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of Indiana (or willing to obtain).
- CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
