Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, and report abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and mobility support to prevent bedsores and promote patient safety.
- Document patient care plans, intake data, and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Nevada CNA license and CMA certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented attitude with a focus on quality care.
