Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by Registered Nurses (RN) and physicians.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and detail-oriented approach to care.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass background checks.
