Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises as required.
- Administer medications and document patient responses and behaviors in medical records.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and visitors.
- Build trusting relationships with patients and their families to ensure comfort and trust.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in the state of Tennessee).
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
