Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using appropriate assistive devices to prevent falls and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient status, concerns, and changes in condition.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring patient safety during eating.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the RN, following strict protocols and documenting administration accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients safely.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
