Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medication as directed by the RN or Physician.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Ohio CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Compassionate attitude and a desire to help others.
