About the Role:
As a CNA, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
