Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the charge nurse or supervisor promptly.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or willingness to obtain) in the state of Nevada.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
