Responsibilities
- Assist Patients: Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health: Record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and report any changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and positioned correctly to prevent pressure sores.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient charts and care logs as required by facility protocols.
- Assist with Activities: Lead or participate in recreational and therapeutic activities to promote patient well-being.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current and active Texas State CNA license is mandatory.
- Training: Completion of an accredited CNA nursing assistant program is preferred for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
