Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws with high precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Verify patient identity and accurately label and process specimens according to strict laboratory standards.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment, strictly adhering to OSHA safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure seamless patient care flow.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
