Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Feed and nourish residents according to prescribed dietary requirements and special needs.
- Observe residents for changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly living environment for residents.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications
- Current State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift, and move residents weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
