Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by the RN.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean, well-groomed, and in a clean environment at all times.
- Assistance: Help transport patients and assist with mobility aids, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Documentation: Accurately complete patient charts, flow sheets, and incident reports.
- Support: Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- License: Valid TN CNA license or Nurse Aide license.
- Experience: Entry Level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training provided for qualified applicants.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
