Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer and reposition patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Administer Care: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and assist with basic wound care and hygiene.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Current and valid CNA certification from the State of Minnesota is required.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates who are eager to learn.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
