Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and individual needs.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients regularly to prevent pressure sores.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to patient care, such as making beds and changing linens.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Current or willingness to obtain CNA Certification (State of Virginia) and Nursing Assistant license.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid certification is highly desired.
