Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nursing staff, following strict safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
