Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patient health status and promptly report any changes, concerns, or emergencies to the RN or Charge Nurse.
- Assist with vital sign monitoring, including taking and recording blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, ensuring proper infection control protocols are followed.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and behavioral observations accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA Certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months of hiring).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preferred).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
