Responsibilities
- Patient Care Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient care logs in compliance with facility standards.
- Assistance with Procedures: Support Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with basic medical procedures and treatments as directed.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current California State Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior experience required for entry-level candidates; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs as needed.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for patient care and a desire to help those in need.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
