Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene Support: Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in patient rooms and common areas to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment.
- Communication: Serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing updates on patient status and concerns.
- Record Keeping: Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited CNA training program preferred.
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee is required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs for extended periods; ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
