Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, accurately recording medical history and current symptoms.
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and perform basic EKG testing.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, treatments, and minor surgeries.
- Manage and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
