As a Medical Assistant at Sun City Medical Clinic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to facilitate smooth patient flow and maintain accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal and insurance information upon arrival.
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight) and record them accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers with history taking and physical exams.
- Assist with phlebotomy and EKG procedures as required.
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and communicate results to patients and physicians.
- Provide patient education on medications and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CMAA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
