Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff immediately.
- Assistance: Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide updates on patient status.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA Certification (Texas Board of Nursing) required.
- Experience: Entry-level position open to new graduates; prior patient care experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Current and valid CNA license in the state of Texas.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
