Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and timely.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient information and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the unit.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong compassion, empathy, and patience for patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as required (physical stamina).
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
